I need honest opinions about buying a manufactured home in a flood zone in California.

I need honest opinions about buying a manufactured home in a flood zone in California. As the title states, I need honest opinions about buying a manufactured home in a flood zone in California. Finally found a home in my price range and I was able to secure a loan. After doing extensive research on insurance, I came to the realization that it is very hard to insure. My only option for insurance is the California Fair Plan. It is expensive, and from what I understand, is a last resort insurance plan. The price of the insurance policy combined with the loan and property taxes altogether would take me out of my financial comfort zone. With all that being said, is it just a terrible idea in general to buy anything in a flood zone? The more research I do, the more I realize how much risk is involved. Please give me your thoughts and opinions. Thanks in advance.
