I looked at land there after it burned down, but right now I am looking at homes that survived. Admittedly, there are not too many options, but some of them are nice. No matter what, I am only looking at places that have a view of the ocean.
I am a little concerned about ongoing construction and I am taking into consideration whether something will be rebuilt that may obstruct views. I know there are also plans to build affordable housing -- nothing against this, but I wouldn't want to spend several million to have one built next door (noise and also can devalue the property). So, I am doing the due diligence around those things.
