I’m just confused at how you moved to LA less than a year before Covid and you’re longing for some pre-Covid life? The city absolutely has changed. All cities have. Society itself has changed. Some problems were heightened and worsened because of Covid, but to me it goes deeper than that. Cost of living, political shifts, demographic shifts (habits of younger citizens), economic turmoil (see Hollywood), and a general environment that emphasizes less empathy I say contribute to a global issue that also infiltrates parts of Los Angeles. I agree the city has changed over the past ten years, but the things that largely make it so great still do and always will exist, you may just have to push a little harder to see it.
