20% of my roof area generates enough power to power my entire house. Add dual EVs and a heat pump and it's 50%. By Bay Area standards, I'm on one of the least favorable sites for solar, on the north side of hill with ample tree shading.
There's plenty of space, and you can do it with zero air quality impact.
