Areas that don’t require exorbitant levels of fire insurance? We’re interested in buying a home in GV, but for each that we’ve found, insurance rates have been astronomical ($3k on the low end and about $8k on the high end). I’m curious about central GV or central NC, or maybe somewhere else that may have lower premiums. Do these areas exist? And if they do, can you give an example of premium?
