And even if they build, they're building apartments, condos, etc. and not homes. Homes will always be a hot commodity. Because of how expensive it is to build here there's no chance a developer is buying a lot of land and building 10 homes vs a building with 500 apartments. But I agree NIMBYs don't help and neither do the politicians that allow it here in LA.
