sad girl's guide to LA?

sad girl's guide to LA? both my social and professional lives blew up at the end of april, after more than my fair share of sulking, i'm ending my bedrotting by brute force with a solo trip to LA. i'm going to Carly Rae Jepsen's concert at the Troubadour on the 19th but otherwise have few plans for the days i'm there. i hope to stop by Reparations Club and the Last Bookstore, and I haven't been to the Getty since i was a kid, so i'm considering that as well. what are your favorite book stores, smaller museums, people watching spots to be melancholy in, meals i can't miss, and maybe (if i can talk some of my local friends into it) your favorite places to go out dancing (to songs with lyrics)? i grew up in northern california and have lived in NYC for 10 years, so i've admittedly spent a lot of time bashing your city. this time around i'm ready to take in the things that make it unique! eta: thanks to those recommending Ripped Bodice, but romance is not my dream in this moment and they did just recently open a brooklyn location 😅 you definitely got the assignment i gave!
