Not entirely true…I got a policy with them in august. The person said that whether not they insure you is their discretion or something like that. Like I said, when I signed up on the website I was initially rejected and told they stopped writing policies in CA. But then my realtor said one of her other clients just got a policy with them and she gave me the contact info for her farmers person and she signed me up.
