Okay I was ready to comment this. I've moved across the country for work and I talked it over with my husband before even applying because it significantly effected him. They have kids together! She should have been discussing before applying to a new city let alone a new country!
If he is being unsupported it's because she sprung this on him. If they talked ot out before hand hand he could have provided that support.
