HVAC replacement

HVAC replacement Hi all - my property was affected by the Eaton fire. The guest house in the back burned down and the main house remained untouched other than pretty serious soot and ash damage. I’ve been going back-and-forth with insurance (State Farm) regarding the HVAC for the main house. I really wanted to have it replaced because I would feel more comfortable that way, but they sent their HVAC technician and he only suggested cleaning. After getting it cleaned, I still felt that I would be more comfortable with it being replaced, and my cleaning company suggested I replace it as well. State Farm said they would reconsider if I provided written documentation from an HVAC expert that it should be replaced, which I did. They then denied my request. I’m unsure if I should keep fighting State Farm or if I should just give up. They’ve stopped my loss of use because they’ve deemed the property habitable, so the fight is becoming financially loaded as well. For other people with partial burns on their properties, how did you proceed? What are my options?
