I also love their premise that construction will get cheaper as time goes by. Contractors are going to be able to charge insane fees during the rebuilding phases in the Palisades and Altadena. And, at least this time around, tariffs threaten to drive up the price of wood from Canada and construction components that have to move through Mexico and Canada. "Wait\[ing\] a few years to build your dream" is an entirely unrealistic premise unless the plan is to move out of state to somewhere with a drastically lower CoL and an abundant construction workforce.
