*The group has said the parent company has ample reserves and a strong credit rating to shore up the California unit, State Farm General Insurance Co.* In other words, this watchdog group thinks the rest of State Farm’s policyholders should subsidize California policyholders.  Yeah, no thanks.  Hopefully State Farm holds CA as a separate company under the parent and can make a clean cut when the time arrives.  Which should be soon.   Where you live matters, people.  Increasingly so.
