My sister is currently doing this. We’ve told her to put her baby in daycare (she’s not against daycares) she doesn’t want to work just for the baby to be in daycare. Except… her masters degree quickly becomes outdated in her field. She has to be using it and using it well for it to do anything for her. But she doesn’t want to work for her kid to be in daycare and thus, is sacrificing her career instead.
