I had Farmers do the same thing. They wanted me to replace a couple roof shingles. So I did and sent them pictures. They said to send the receipts from the licensed contractor. I told them I did it myself. They said no, has to be replaced by a licensed contractor. So I paid for a licensed contractor to dick around and replaced the shingles - basically just removed them and put them back the same way I did. Sent them the receipts and they said they couldn’t find the licensed contractor in the state database. I sent them the screen shot of the licensed contractor in the state database. All of this back and forth bullshit took 6 month and that’s the end of my annual contract. They just cancelled my coverage. They’re just gonna dick you around to cancel your contract.
