Yeah I support fighting fire with fire after what Texas did, just as a practical reality, but I'm not happy about it. The independent commission is awesome and undoing their work absolutely sucks. This had better be a narrow, one-time type of deal.
I would also be unsurprised if a good number of California Democratic voters say that they don't want to play this game and prefer to keep the independent commission's maps intact as a matter of principle. Keep playing the game and Republicans have more states that they could potentially gerrymander, so we lose either way, but if we don't redraw the maps, we keep principles intact. Idk
