Insurance claim

Insurance claim Location: Dallas Texas I was watching my uncles home for him when he was out the country for a few months and a few weeks ago got a call from my neighbors that there was a fire at his house and it was in the driveway, the car was a 2024 Silverado EV that wasn’t running or been turned on in 2-3 months. The house is fine but there was some fire damage to the front of the garage and some smoke damage to the roof inside. The car was of course a total loss and it was fully covered under progressive auto insurance. We opened a claim with progressive and were told that in a letter that the claim wasn’t denied but it might be due to them handling it as a reservation of rights and that under the policy provision “9. property damage to any property owned by, rented to, being transported by, used by, or in the charge of that insured person. This exclusion does not apply to a rented residence or garage;” so my uncle has been stressing and I called around local dfw lawyers but haven’t had anyone that could help us incase this claim is denied. We were wondering what our next steps should be
