That is strange. For a house worth 2+mil in the highest fire zone (Kinneloa) with extra things insured (bearing wall etc) it’s $5100 for a renewal. About $2k for a good wrap around. No in home sprinklers etc. Less for a house worth 1.5 mil in same neighborhood. State Farm was more than half that for full insurance last year before they non-renewed. (I was shocked they insured my new house, I’d lived in the same neighborhood for years and CFP was the only option. But SF was insuring any home for a while.)
