I actually just paid the first year’s premium for a home we’re currently in escrow on. The house we’re getting is in a part of town that’s right by a major river and a major levee. It’s considered one of the most at-risk locations for a flood in the nation, I think. For as long as I’ve been in this city (since the 90s), it’s never flooded, but we never know what may happen while we’re here.
