I am thinking of the same, Farmers is quoted 3 Xs more expensive even when car bundled (with multiple discounts included) compared to CFP and wraparound I received from AAA. Makes no sense? Car insurance at AAA was 30 % cheaper for my other cars without any bundles compared to the "discount" Farmers told me about my car/house bundled. Here lies my dilemma, I am so afraid of going to the CA Fair Plan, with all the complaints I've read. Can I ask you who you went to your wrap around? How much did you save? This is unsustainable with my 600% increase with castrophic coverage (3 % deductible, too). What would you do in my case? Feeling so helpless...(no insurance other than Farmers will underwrite my home, so I'm stuck).
