Yeah, don’t get me started on healthcare.  I’ll just say that not having a public option in the aca has been a source of much of the issue today.  People are forced into private health insurance that is heavily subsidized by taxpayers — but isn’t Medicaid with all its protections and low overhead.   Instead we have this bastardized system where private health insurers use taxpayer dollars to pad their massive profits, while withholding care.   And people have no choice but to continue in this system.   Medicare for all is the obvious answer but the healthcare and insurance lobbies are far too strong.
