In Sac City, a protected tree is defined as either certain native trees or regardless of species  C.   A tree that has a DSH of twenty-four (24) inches or more located on private property that:       1.   Is an undeveloped lot; or      2.   Does not include any single unit or duplex dwellings; or    D.   A tree that has a DSH of thirty-two (32) inches or more located on private property that includes any single unit or duplex dwellings. FWIW, if you're in the city, the fire hazard probably isn't the factor here, its the limb drop.
