Drywall removal to eli NJ to Nate smoke damage The fire destroyed every single house on my street, except my house and my neighbors'. There may be about 10 houses within 200 yards of my home. My insurance adjuster has speculated that the smoke damage can probably be cleaned by a company like Serv Pro. I've spoken to an independent adjuster who thinks that the fact that the house has been in the middle of a fire, has one window the blew open due to the wind, and will sit there for weeks without remediation, will require removal and replacement of the drywall. Any thoughts on who is right?
