GO to the station, speak to the duty sergeant or whoever is in-charge of the station, and make sure that you get an actual report done, pretty much don't leave until an actual report is filed. Bring printouts of relevant statues with you, just so you can kind of be like "Hey, see this, it outright says this is a crime". Don't be rude about it, but don't back down either.
