Help with Fire Insurance in SD

Help with Fire Insurance in SD Hi everyone. I need help. I live in San Marcos California, in a fire zone. I live in a relatively new housing development. I found out today that National General, my current home owner insurer, will not renew my policy. This is due apparently to the tightening up of insuring homes in California in fire zones. My policy was around $1200 a year. My insurance agent tried to get me a new quote but all their main line insurers would not cover my property. They found one, with Burns & Wilcox, at a premium of $7500 a year! 6x my current premium. I don’t know what to do and would love some advice. Find a new broker? Am I really now in for a 6x increase in one year? Thx!
