If deferral goes on long enough that’s a concern, but probably not what’s keeping people out of the condos. Here where I live we have one condo in an amazing location that’s mostly empty because the hoa fees for maintenance are in excess of the mortgage payments in most cases. And for the penthouse from what I’m told maintenance costs annually were higher than what the whole condo cost.
