I did contact them but didn’t mention that it is not my tree. They just said to cut down or trim it to prevent it from overhanging the structure. Seems they are concerned with fire and storm damage. I may go this route if I can’t reach the owner. Thank you! I really would like to keep it but after the letter, I’m just seeing it as a liability, that can catch fire or break off in a storm. 😖
