I am team fuck an open concept. We're 3 months in to our 1930s house. Second or third owners, pre war build, minimal renovations. And my favorite thing about her is she has walls and doors!!! I love my defined spaces! I love my kitchen that was designed to be functional and charming, not an accessory to the living room. Love my formica (but like the cool old school shit not cheapo slumlord garbage) counters. I love that i can completely shut off the dining room, living room, breakfast nook, and kitchen from the downstairs guest room/bathroom and upstairs bedrooms/bath room. Entertaining spaces and living spaces are totally separated by closing 2 doors. Love my 70s gas stove and i will replace that thing over my dead body. The only thing i want to change is the color on the cabinets and add a kitchen hood.
