Thanks for the response. Yeah the hotel is willing to let us keep the car here for a few days and hold onto to the keys and provide to tow company. We check out Monday, so I’m hoping that the car can be picked up Monday. My family here is semi-local, an hour or two drive from where the venue is. I do not have rental coverage, so going home with my parents (who live near me) on Monday will save me a decent chunk of change, and I also do have things I need to take care of at home on Monday that are time and location sensitive. The car is mostly superficially damaged (from what I can tell). It’s a 2024 CX30 so there are lots of sensors all over the car that I imagine would add to the cost. Multiple sections of the rear are damaged, the front grille area is pretty messed up as well, internals under the hood visually seem fine. And the dash came apart but airbags did not actually deploy. The damage really doesn’t look terrible visually, but it’s just across quite a few parts of the car so it’ll definitely add the cost up quickly.
