Mr Cooper didn’t pay, California Fair Won’t Reinstate Mr. Cooper, the Mortgage company and our Escrow holder, missed the April 2025 payment and California Fair cancelled our plan. After escalating as high as we could (haven't sent the errors letter yet) in Mr. Cooper, getting on a 3 ways call, etc, California Fair repealed and did not reinstate. My research tells me that Mr. Cooper are responsible for this mistake, but are denying responsibility/refusing to resolve. Additional context, the California Fair said that we didn't have Mr. cooper listed as our mortgage and that's the issue. But, the snafu and where it gets fishy, is that Mr. cooper was sold our loan in 2023, and paid California Fair with no issues for 2024. Can someone help us to know what to do? We made on-time payments and upheld our end of things for 8 years. This feels like a scam since we are only able to get California Fair Plan in our high fire zone. Our old quote was for $2k, our new quote is for $5k, no competition due to fire zone. Can anyone guide us? We have tried to fix this since the week of April 20th, the due date of our payment.
