The good thing about todays culture is that people take videos of them doing EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE... so I'm betting a lot of those people have videos of them walking from their bedroom, to the bathroom, to the kitchen for a drink an then to the living room, covering most of their goods. The real clause that gets you is "depreciation". I always cut my insurance coverage down but 100% make sure I have the "replacement value" option in there. The few times I've had an issue, it was like ok your coverage is for the bike $800, but depreciation brings it down to... $25.... and your deductible is like $200... and I simply say but it's replacement value.. "oh ok!" and then I buy brand/style for $1500 because rates have gone up today..
