Since it is a condo, you have to get HO-6. May be hard to find an admitted carrier, I recently acquired my client an HO-6 in Brea with a non-admitted. The HO-3 is for single family homes, not condo’s. Even if you planned on renting out the condo to another party, the HO-6 is the way to go. Your personal policy would insure your liabilities and interior of the condo, like your renovations. The master policy the HOA has is for the exterior structures.
