No, that's expected, really. It's rough over on this side. Am in Palisades and have family on the line of Palisades and Malibu and also in Malibu. It's brutal. I was also, specifically, booted by State Farm, like about 50+% of my neighbors. It's going to keep rising because, no matter what anyone says, the actuaries follow the science which says warmer weather = bigger natural events like fires, storms, etc... The calculus is always going to skew higher here, basically forever. Eventually we will get Floradirized and home prices will begin to reflect insurance premiums as a part of the monthly nut - I suspect we're already close...
