Most of these precautions should be mandatory if ppl choose to live in the urban/ forest interface. We are there and have had 2 forest fires come through in the last 5 years. We implemented all of these things 15 years ago and still have a house thanks to that. It amazes me to see neighbors with trees over their houses, brush all around the property, virtually taking no precautions eventhough houses in the area have burned to the ground. I just don’t get ppl sometimes.
