State Farm is not shareholder owned. It's policyholder owned. Policyholders can participate in annual meetings and elect board members, if they choose so. They have no shareholders and anyone who has a policy through their auto or home insurance offerings can participate. Unfortunately the reason prices have gone up across the board is because actuaries are predicting massive losses due to the climate crisis. Apparently pricing in the apocalypse is expensive.
