Planning my move, how safe is the area around the Arden Fair Mall? Good afternoon everyone. I am currently looking for apartments in Sacramento. My new job is located in downtown sac and I would love to live as close to it as possible to avoid traffic, etc while also balancing affordability. I found an apartment that I am really interested in between the Arden Fair Mall and Leo A. Palmiter Jr./Sr. High School. it has come to my attention that there was recently a shooting at the apartment complex. Is this a one off event, or will I have to constantly be looking over my shoulder? Realistically, how safe that is that area? I am a single male, two small dogs, and I like having guests over. Edit: I am trying to find a 1b/1b that is close enough to downtown but also wont break the bank, something no more than $1,300.
