Did you contact your insurance company and tell them it’s not your tree? My friend got a letter stating the sane thing. They called and spoke with their insurance after they had a conversation with the neighbor who told them flatly no, they weren’t going to cut it. They wanted to ask how to deal with forcing a neighbor who didn’t want to cut their tree to cut it for her insurance. They ended up speaking with their underwriter who then confirmed through aerial photos that the tree was not her tree. They withdrew the letter and she never heard anything else about it. Worth a shot I’d say at the very least. Good luck.
