From a professional science communication perspective, this is an egregiously poor post. First, you absolutely need to include references to peer-reviewed studies if you are expecting folks to get behind what you are sharing. Your original post was not well-written and included a number of anecdotes that undermine your message, and assumptions that are not factually supported (ie: reporting that the Western-facing Sierras "likely the highest risk zone in the United States" for wildfire, even a quick Google search will indicate that isn't the case.) Your second post doesn't even address the fact that all the Northern Coast counties are currently in a state of drought emergency (again, Google).
Climate science communication is very important, and I am glad you are reaching out to your local community. However, it is absolutely critical that as science communicators, we are as accurate as possible. We cannot even appear to muddy the waters with anecdotes and assumptions. Those opinions undermine our credibility in the public eye.
Edit: After seeing the number of posts you've made on California subreddits, this worries me greatly. You've included (albeit, now removed) some big reaches here, and I am sincerely doubting the professionalism of this project. Your lack of willingness to engage shows you are not accepting feedback in good-faith.
