Ok, maybe *safe* campers are a vested interest but good renters are not. Nobody on sight means that there's no vetting of mindful, respectful, or responsible users. Just because there exists a process to recover damages (a process which is fraught with challenges and disappointment), doesn't mean that the risk needs to be adopted. And, as I mentioned in my other comment, a smart owner would establish an LLC for their camping operation to insulate themselves from damages.
