What may save Arden Fair is the thousands of apartments being built nearby; if they reposition the stores to focus on becoming the hub of a neighborhood in addition to stores that draw regionally, the combination of regular neighborhood use and mall shoppers might do the truck. Bringing back a grocery store (the old Arden Fair had a Corti Bros.) might help too, handy for the nearby residents. I got a chance to check out a Uniqlo while in LA and they do seem to have inexpensive, no-frills fast casual clothing, handy if you just need to pick up a hat or some socks or T-shirts.
