That's such BS, they're clearly just looking for excuses to dump customers in CA. The aerial photo thing is ridiculous - like of course rural property doesn't look like a manicured suburb
I'd definitely fight it though, especially if the alternative is jumping to $5k a year. Take those photos, stack your firewood like you're entering a competition, and make everything look perfect. Sometimes they'll back down if you show you're willing to push back rather than just accepting it
Worth shopping around too even though the market sucks right now. Some companies are still writing policies and might not be as picky about normal rural stuff like chicken coops and garden tools
