Look for a public adjuster in your area. They are your personal claim representative and will be able to help you and make sure everything is on the up&up. Be sure to document all conversations and ask for things in writing. Especially that denial letter. Be sure to communicate your disabilities with your adjuster too - hopefully they will be able to better help you through everything.
