I agree that buildings should be more fire resistant, but that costs a fair amount of $$ per house. As well, we have decades of momentum for building stick built houses. There is one house up here constructed of cinder block, with a metal roof. If they also incorporated FireShades, I suppose that would be as good as it gets.
