Thank you for commenting, i wasn’t aware of the particulars of the code. I live in the paradise of campfire fame, and some people have even formed sub-paradise communities in other states. I am very worried about this fire compounding the costs especially with the new reinsurance laws that have passed. Do you have any insight or resources you would be willing to share regarding what CA homeowners in “fire risk” areas can expect? My insurance increased almost $5000/yr for the same policy this past sept - afraid my home will be unaffordable for me and also unsellable after whatever increases come next year.
