I actually knew someone that 10 years ago earned enough to buy a home in the most expensive area in Santa Rosa. He was single. But he pulled a bunch of overtime and laughed about how ridiculous the hourly was for overtime! On that I'll agree with you. A firefighter may have something to say about his other job on his days not being a firefighter.
