Best experiences with fire insurance?

Best experiences with fire insurance? Although we are on the southwest side, I've been thinking we should probably reevaluate whether or not we have enough fire insurance coverage, and whether our carrier is going to be reasonable to deal with or a nightmare should we ever get hit by a fire. So I'm curious for those who have been through it with our fires. (That also includes people who didn't lose a home but did have to deal with smoke damage.) What companies did you have good experiences with? What companies should we avoid like the plague?
