Landlord here. First, you will be one of legally responsible parties if something happens where a person is hurt or killed in the pool. Second, that pool will destroy the grass underneath it and possibly cause the yard to settle. Third, pool death lawsuits can easily run into the millions.
1) Send via certified mail 3 day Quit or Cure notice for the pool.
2) Speak to your lawyer about your potential liability and the possible eviction
3) Contact your insurance company and add a $1,000,000 umbrella policy (they are actually pretty cheap) because you are way underinsured.
4A) Begin the eviction process if they don't drain and remove the pool immediately
4B) Document the damage to the yard as soon as the pool is gone and do a follow up a few weeks later to see if the pool water killed the grass or any other plants in the back your. You also want to document if the pool cause settling in the back yard that you will have to fill in.
