I believe you are misreading the chart. Yes, I am referring to the section you are referring to in your post, specifically about the "severe droughts". Your question posted above "When you posted your link - dd you think that it made the point that there is no drought in the past or that the droughts have made things worse?". My point is that the data does not support the statement that "droughts have become more frequent". Yes, the chart does end at 2024, what would you expect, it is only 10 days into 2025.
