I'm convinced we have to stop insuring homes in PML locations. Like we build homes on the beach in hurricane zones and then are surprised when they're wiped out ever 5-10 years. Maybe don't zone that area as residential? As I said above, there's a ton of factors, and it's a complicated problem, but I feel like that would be a good start. The housing market here is insane. I do NOT understand how home prices can get, much less stay, this high.
