California FAIR+DIC or Homesite Insurance?

California FAIR+DIC or Homesite Insurance? We’re closing on a house in a fire prone area and therefore are very limited on insurance options. We’ve basically been given two options: 1. FAIR plan ($5,100) with DIC policy through CIG ($1,200) for a total of $6300 2. Surplus policy through Homesite for $2700 Is it worth doing FAIR since there is more backing through the state? Is Homesite a safe bet since it is such a large national company even though it is not admitted in California? We got a couple other cheaper quotes from companies like Delos and Aegis, however we feel they are too new and small to be stable and dependable as a long term insurance option.
