But the thing is kids do travel 60-90 minutes to go to Lowell; students of all ethnicities and economic standing. You have to work hard to get into Lowell, and you have to work hard to stay and succeed at Lowell.

And as an aside, wasn't the intent of Philip and Sala Burton Academic High School to be a Lowell in the southeast part of town?
